About
I'm a writer because I love to create understanding. Nothing is more satisfying than taking a vision and translating it so someone else can appreciate it.
I've been freelancing since 2015, but I've been a writer for as long as I can remember. Growing up, my career goals bounced from novelist to fashion journalist to public relations pro (which is what I settled on). I studied integrated marketing communications at Ithaca College and headed to Philadelphia to work at a PR firm after graduation.
When I had my fill of the agency side of things, I decided to move back to New York to serve as an AmeriCorps member at a food nonprofit, which is also when I started my freelance business. My side hustle grew while I transitioned to a job as the communications coordinator at another nonprofit, until I decided to go full time with my freelance career in 2017.
When I'm not writing, I'm making ice cream, watching bad reality TV, and looking for dogs to pet.
